From plots of granite soil covered with gneiss and decomposing shale. This powerful and tannic cuvée can be enjoyed with game, red meat, cheese or even chocolate.

  • Tasting : Aroma of cassis, black cherry, pepper and licorice, fine and tight tannins, agrees with room temperature.
  • Grape variety : Syrah, vines of 35 years on average.
  • Harvest : manual and destemmed.
  • Yield : 35 hectoliters per hectare.
  • Aging : 12 months, 20% in new barrels 80% in barrels of 2 and 3 wines.
  • Keeping : 5 to 10 years.

Parcels

Les Plantées is a plot of high hill vines planted with Syrah grape variety.
the soil is composed of rotten granites with numerous boulders. The exposure is South South-East, the slope of 35%.
The oldest plantations date from 1976, the most recent in 2017.

The grapes are used for AOP Saint Joseph Les rocailles.

Pangon is a plot of plateau vines planted with Syrah grape variety, the soil is composed of granites and metamorphic schists. The exposure is East, the slope of 25%.
The plot was planted in 1985.

The grapes are used for AOP Saint Joseph Les jouvencelles.
