From plots with granite soil covered with gneiss and decaying shale. This tannic and powerful cuvée can be enjoyed around game, on red meat, cheese or even chocolate.

  • Grape variety : SYRAH
  • Soil of granitic nature covered with gneisse and decaying schists
  • Vines 25 to 30 years old.
  • Average yields : 35 hl / ha.
  • Wine-making process : Manual harvest.
  • Destemmed harvest. 21-day vatting with one punching per day.
  • Aging in barrels for 12 to 18 months: 20% new and the rest, barrels of 2 to 3 wines.
  • Keeping : Enjoy from 4 to 10 years.

  • Visuel : Very bright ruby ​​with slightly purplish red reflections; the tears are full and tend to disappear!
  • Olfactory : A first nose brings us a basket of spices, liquorice, peppermint that tickle the nasal appendix. In a second step, a compote of black fruits is present: blackcurrant, blackberry, forest fruits.
  • Tasteful : An elegant attack of freshness and subtlety, to follow on a length where jam fruits, spices ... To finish with very present tannins which leave the possibility of an aging of 5 years to at least 10 years.

Les Plantées is a plot of high hill vines planted with Syrah grape variety.
the soil is composed of rotten granites with numerous boulders. The exposure is South South-East, the slope of 35%.
The oldest plantations date from 1976, the most recent in 2017.

The grapes are used for AOP Saint Joseph Les rocailles.

Pangon is a plot of plateau vines planted with Syrah grape variety, the soil is composed of granites and metamorphic schists. The exposure is East, the slope of 25%.
The plot was planted in 1985.

The grapes are used for AOP Saint Joseph Les jouvencelles.
